LOGISTICSHLLV TASK 05

How to Run Supply and Engineer Logistics in HLLV

A small-team hand-off that prevents supplies from arriving after the engineer has already left.

QUICK ANSWER

Choose the helicopter job first: a transport helicopter moves troops, while a supply helicopter carries supplies for garrisons or engineers. Then name the destination, confirm who will build, deliver, and report the result. The exact seat-switch routine is a current player workaround, not a universal control rule.

EXECUTE THE TASK5 STEPS

Action sequence

  1. STEP 01

Choose the job before takeoff: transport helicopter for troops, supply helicopter for a named garrison or Engineer build. Official launch tips support using helicopters for troops and supplies and keeping backup Garrisons available.

  2. STEP 02

Name the destination and confirm the builder or Logistics Officer who will receive the run. Do not drop supplies into an unowned plan.

  3. STEP 03

Deliver with a safe exit in mind. The supply chopper is useful only if the builder can reach the drop and the team can protect the work briefly.

  4. STEP 04

The builder confirms the object or garrison is active and reports what remains. That report is the hand-off's proof of delivery.

  5. STEP 05

Record the next run separately. Repeat a route that was confirmed; do not repeat an unverified drop because it felt smooth.

Transport and supply helicopters are different jobs

Current player discussions distinguish the troop-transport helicopter from the supply helicopter: one carries squads, the other drops supplies for garrisons or engineers. Pick the job before takeoff so the destination and receiver are not improvised in the air.

Confidence boundary: Community role distinction; exact aircraft availability and behavior can change.

Solo supply drop: one PC report, not a bind guide

One current player reports landing the supply helicopter, switching to the co-pilot seat, and using E on PC to drop the load; the same report says to reposition when the terrain does not suit the drop. Keep this as a single-thread workaround. Do not present E as a universal binding for another platform or build.

Confidence boundary: Single-thread PC report; verify the prompt and seat behavior before relying on it.

Logistics Officer garrison ability is still a live-build check

A current player discussion says one Logistics Officer with a supply helicopter can build garrisons. Another earlier discussion linked on this page describes the opposite limitation, so this is not a settled mechanic here: test the role in the live build and record the platform before treating it as reliable.

Confidence boundary: Single current thread, contradicted by another linked discussion; verify in build.

RECOVERYWHEN THE TASK DOESN’T WORK

If it doesn’t work

  • The current build's exact supply output, transport limits, and role restrictions are not fixed here.
  • Helicopter and ground-transport routines vary by server, map, and pilot availability.
  • This page turns repeated community advice into a checklist. It does not claim a universal drop radius, cap, aircraft route, or seat binding. Current player reports also disagree about some Logistics Officer details, so verify them in the live build.
