LOGISTICSHLLV TASK 01

How to Build Nodes in Hell Let Loose Vietnam: Wrench, Blueprint, Hammer

Need to build nodes in Hell Let Loose Vietnam? Use the Engineer wrench or building tool, place the node blueprint, then switch to the hammer to finish it. Current-build limits and unverified costs are marked.

QUICK ANSWER

Select Engineer, equip the building tool or wrench, choose the Fuel, Manpower, or Munitions node blueprint, place it, then switch to the hammer and finish construction. The success check is a finished active node rather than a blue or half-built blueprint.

EXECUTE THE TASK6 STEPS

Action sequence

  1. STEP 01

Select Engineer and confirm the squad has a supply plan. If supplies are missing, ask support or HQ before opening the build menu.

  2. STEP 02

Equip the building tool or wrench and cycle to the Fuel, Manpower, or Munitions node blueprint you actually need. Use the current Vietnam controls screen; keybinds from original HLL may not match.

  3. STEP 03

Place the blueprint on usable ground where a support player can reach it again.

  4. STEP 04

Switch to the hammer and hold the construction interaction until the object is finished. Success means the ghost/blueprint state is gone and the active node is visible; leaving a half-built object is not success.

  5. STEP 05

Tell the squad what was placed and where, then revisit it after the next sector change. If a node disappears after the sector is captured, check the match state before deciding whether to rebuild.

  6. STEP 06

If placement is denied, check Engineer role, supplies, terrain, and the current objective before retrying.

FIELD REPORTS3 field notes

Player notes from the field

These are player observations for handling match-to-match differences. They are not official rules and do not replace the direct answer above.

The three node types and the 50 / 150 supply report

Current player replies name Fuel, Manpower, and Munitions. The same thread reports 50 supplies per node, 150 for a full set, and 150 supplies already available at HQ at match start. Those numbers are current player reports, not an official published economy table.

Confidence boundary: Current player report; verify the number in the live build.

Blueprint first, hammer second

The useful field sequence is simple: cycle the wrench to a Fuel, Manpower, or Munitions blueprint, place it near supplies, then switch to the hammer and finish it. One reply also says the passive class XP continues after changing role while the nodes remain alive; treat that as a player observation, not a guaranteed progression rule.

Confidence boundary: Multiple replies agree on the interaction; the XP behavior is single-thread evidence.

A node can disappear without you dismantling it

Players report that the enemy can destroy a node and that a node disappears when the sector containing it is captured. If the set vanishes, check the sector state before assuming the build interaction failed.

Confidence boundary: Player-reported destruction and sector-loss behavior; not stated in the official overview.

RECOVERYWHEN THE TASK DOESN’T WORK

If it doesn’t work

  • The live build may change the exact resource cost, node cap, and interaction label.
  • The public discussion does not establish one universal placement rule for every mode or map.
  • Official placement boundaries do not establish a node-specific cost, cap, or distance table.
  • The tool → blueprint → place → hammer sequence and the 50-supplies-per-node / 150-supply HQ figures are current Vietnam player reports, not a universal official table. Update 1.5 adds the no-underwater boundary; its 15-metre boundary applies to Garrisons only and does not establish a node rule.
