Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand which guides help players and where a page is difficult to use. Before you choose, and after you reject, Clarity is instructed to use a cookieless mode and not write analytics cookies. If you accept, analytics storage can link page visits into a session. Clarity may process technical and interaction information such as device type, approximate location, clicks, scrolling, page navigation, heatmaps, and session recordings. Sensitive page content is masked by default; we do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or guide-correction messages.

You can choose Reject analytics or change your choice later from Manage analytics preferences in the footer. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity consent guidance.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores your choice in browser local storage under hllv-field-manual-analytics-consent. The value records only whether you accepted or rejected analytics and the consent version; it does not identify you or create an account. Until you choose, the site sends Clarity a denied consent signal. If you accept, Clarity may use its analytics storage, including Clarity cookies or similar identifiers, to connect visits into a session. Advertising storage stays denied.

If you reject or withdraw consent, the site sends Clarity a denied signal and attempts to remove analytics cookies that are readable by this site. Because Clarity is a third-party service, we cannot inspect or guarantee deletion of HttpOnly, third-party, or already-processed data held by Microsoft. Rejecting analytics still leaves the guides fully usable.

To change or withdraw your choice, use Manage analytics preferences in the footer and select Reject analytics. You can also clear this site’s local storage in your browser; the consent prompt will appear again on the next visit.

What the site does not use

HLLV Field Manual does not require an account, use analytics for advertising, or send guide content and correction emails to the analytics service. Rejecting analytics does not remove or limit access to the player references.
